Our Mission is to bring the Arts of Knitting and Crocheting to women who are dealing with substance abuse issues, mental illness, and lives impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault and family trauma. We use knitting and crocheting to achieve our ultimate goal of finding ways to Heal ourselves, find Hope, create s sense of Happiness and Joy, and ultimately raise our Spirits, Skill Sets and Quality of Life.
We love getting yarn donations! Many thanks to Terri Nigro from Ventura County for this very generous donation. Once again, a donation that filled an entire car!
The yarn will be going to Prototypes, New Visions, The Wellness Center, Project Understanding, House of Hope as well as to Women in Recovery Knitting Groups who are knitting donations for our upcoming winter Season.
I love how the men at Turning Point’s Wellness Center in Oxnard, California participate in our knitting and crochet groups! They all finger crochet these “Wellness Bracelets” in all different colors! For themselves and for their friends!
